Localisation usually pertains to the adaptation of a product – hardware, software or an entire web page – so that it is culturally sensitive to the target audience. In these projects, we work with just about anything that can be used as source material: XML files, user guides (both hard-copy and electronic versions), or other product-related documentation. While the source language is usually English, the target language can be practically any other language you care to mention including, of course, Finnish.
Technology has always been AAC's strength. Based on our extensive experience in localisation, we know how to accommodate its requirements in the documentation process. You can avoid problems by turning to us for source creation even before your product is ready to be localised. Our customers include the world's leading IT companies, as well as companies of all sizes across various fields. As a support service, we undertake native testing of localised products.
Typical application areas

Effective practices and the utilization of tools and technologies will help to deliver remarkable schedule and cost savings.
Solution
AAC Global provides solutions which allow our clients to localize and publish up-to-date multilingual websites, which include demanding content such as annual reports and multimedia presentations. The solutions can be integrated or used separately for various needs.
Benefits
- Effective and parallel production and localization of the content
- Website and multimedia localization cost and schedule savings
- Implementation of continuous, up-to-date website localization in a cost effective manner
- Reduction of manual work by using modern technology in processes
- Combining communications needs with effective terminology, content and management
- Achieving consistent web brand management and marketing communication messages across borders
Web localization model
Website localization is based on an analysis of the content and publishing system. Translation utilizes modern translation technology and the use of correct terminology is integrated into the solution. The transfer of content from the publishing system for translation and back can be automated to the point where the user needs only to accept the translation before publishing.
Steps:
- Analysis of Web pages, publishing system, needs and targets. The analysis will result in a clear picture of targets, the possibilities, costs and measures for achieving those targets.
- The action plan is based on the analysis results and the alternatives are presented to the client. The plan also has clear cost estimates.
- Implementation and deployment is carried out according to the chosen plan.
- The results are evaluated.
